Baked Tortilla Chips

(Preparation time: 15 minutes; Serves: depends on how many tortillas are used)
One bag of tortilla chips
Optional: olive oil (or an oil you like, spices, herbs)
Salt
Pepper
Heat oven to 350ºF. Cut the tortillas into triangular slices. You do not need to oil the tortillas, however should you want this is the time to do it. Brush oil onto the tortilla before cutting. Spread out on a baking sheet. When the oven is hot, bake for about 6 to 8 minutes. Remove the baking sheet, and shake the tray, turn the chips over and add the spices, herbs you prefer. Return to the oven, and bake for another 5 to 6 minutes. When cooled, serve.
Quick, easy, simple! These three words are a delight to anyone who finds being in the kitchen a challenge. You can’t make it easier, or more simple than oven baked tortilla chips. Either corn or wheat tortillas can be used. And, the chips can be served with anything. They can accompany chili, soups, casseroles and salad. Oh, and of course, guacamole, salsa and more. The choice is yours. Experiment and make the recipe entirely yours!
