Lemon Tea

For one cup of lemon tea:

- Juice of half a lemon

- Cup of hot water

- Two slices of peach, apple or pulp of half a passion fruit

- About 2 teaspoons of crushed ginger (fresh is always better)

You can add honey for added sweetness.

It is winter here in Namibia. There is nothing like a steaming cup of hot lemon tea to start a cold and wintry day. I like mine with crushed ginger or a sprig of mint. Seldom do I add a sweetener, instead, I add a slice or two of fresh peach, the pulp of passion fruit, or apple. I like mine strong and bold, rich with flavor, you may choose to use the recipe for 2 cups.

Enjoy!
