Summer Christmas’ does not seem to fit all the trendy, catchy jingles of the season. I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas seems odd on a hot and sultry dessert day. Then there’s Dancing and Prancing in the Frosty Air, it’s definitely not a bright time, nor is it the right time to pick up your feet to jingle around the clock!
Hot days take all the fun, camaraderie, comfort and care out of Christmas for me! All the closeness, cooking, treats and snacks are just not the same. I’m longing for a truly White Christmas, and Lord willing, it will be next year!! I can hope!
In my longing to see some chilly cold – snow and more snow, I found this –

– as much as I’m longing for some crispy Christmas days, this is not it! Yes, there is beauty in the sculpting of an ice hotel, but that’s it. It’s wonderful to see how it’s done, and the end result. It truly is stunning.
But a warm and bustling fireplace, toasting marshmallows, and sipping hot chocolate, cider or eggnog! That’s Christmas, and those are the traditions I love.
What are yours? What do you celebrate at Christmas?
Can you give a true and accurate account of the birth of our Savior?
The LORD God said to the serpent, "Because you have done this, cursed are you above all livestock and above all beasts of the field; on your belly you shall go, and dust you shall eat all the days of your life. I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel” (Genesis 3:14-15).
The angel said to them, "Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger (Luke 2:10-12)
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6).
The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth (John 1:14).
