Seven minutes to explain the book of Job – and we all need to know about him, and his life. I know I do. It is good to know our place in the unfolding events of life, living, and in the world. We need to know there is a reasoning and a purpose beyond our existence. Understanding this, puts us in our place. I know I need to know mine! Do you know yours? Do you know God’s purpose in those dark and difficult seasons of life when nothing seems to make sense?

Maybe, you are like me. We find it easy to look to the Lord and trust in the awkward and difficult moments of life – I can respond well, and walk away knowing I honored the Lord with my thoughts, behaviors, and words.

But, what do we do when the difficulties are ongoing, and people in our lives are annoying and exasperating, when trials seem to keep coming – there is no relenting of them. The trials stack up high, and they seem to stack against us. Do we trust God? Is there any wisdom and good in any of it?
