A while ago I came across a great website – Townsends – I love their old world living presentations. They have multiple cooking demonstrations which can be viewed on YouTube. If you, like me, are fascinated by old world life, this is definitely a site worthy of being checked out.

Already, they have quite a following, and I can understand why – their presentations are refreshing to watch in an era where so much negativity confronts us on a daily basis. There is no speed to the cooking and baking processes. Everything is accomplished without electronic and modern devices. And, I like the old recipes. It is fun to know how recipes originated and how little has changed, yet how much has changed. I hope you will enjoy following Townsends as much as I do.

  • What has been is what will be, and what has been done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun (Ecclesiastes 1:9).

  • And you, take wheat and barley, beans and lentils, millet and emmer, and put them into a single vessel and make your bread from them (Ezekiel 4:9).
